I am a fully qualified carpenter and joiner working previously as a college lecturer in Wales. I have also taught carpentry in prisons to help rehabilitated inmates prior to release before embarking on my own business in Norfolk.
Based in Dussindale, Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich I work within the city and surrounding areas.
All the gates are the highest quality made from sustainable wood and pressure treated for external use. Gates are individual, bespoke made to measure on site, in four distinct styles and expertly installed on the same day according to the customer’s requirements. I will customize the width and height of your gate, ensuring it perfectly fits your space.
No nails are used in the construction process only screws as this makes the gate more solid, they are also designed to expand and contract for all weather conditions to maximise their lifespan. All gates can be fitted with either a 'Suffolk latch or key locking system. Two or three galvanised 'T' Hinges are used on all gates, other ironmongery can be fitted on request.
During the initial site visit I will advise whether new posts or side panels will be required.
All gates come with a 1 year guarantee from the time of installation.

Made with selected treated timber. Comes with a curved or square top. Can be made up to 1.5m wide and over 1.8m high, depending on your requirements.
Braced for extra strength using an 'A' bracing technique, because of the special way this gate is constructed , it allows for expansion and contraction internally rather than collectively. This means that it does not swell and get stuck during the winter months. The gate has handles and locked from both sides.
External frame and lattice using treated timber. Tongue and groove is not available treated so will need treating. Can be made up to 1m wide and up to 1.8m high.
Planed will need treating, sawn comes treated. Can be made to customers requirements (width & height).
'A' framed bracing is used for extra strength and to stop the gate from dropping.
This type of gate can be used for a Driveway Gate and made from external use treated timber.

In light of the current challenges faced by Hedgehogs in Great Britain, I believe it’s essential to lend a helping hand to these once thriving but now endangered creatures as they roam from one garden to another. A hedgehogs territory can cover as many as ten gardens, embarking on nightly adventures that cover many miles and encompassing multiple resting spots along the way. Unfortunately, many gardens feature concrete post and rail fences that block their regular routes. Furthermore, the relentless clearing of their natural habitats for roads, houses, and larger fields has added to their struggles. Therefore, unless specified otherwise, my gates are thoughtfully designed to include a welcoming gap underneath, allowing hedgehogs to access neighboring gardens during their evening escapades.
It’s worth noting that feeding hedgehogs dairy products like milk or cheese can make them very ill. Instead, I suggest opting for affordable cat biscuits, which are a much more suitable treat for our prickly friends, placing them undercover alongside some water.
